What Is Phentermine
Phentermine acts as an appetite suppressant stimulant, which helps to decrease the body weights of obese and overweight people. Its function is somewhat similar to the amphetamine. This medicine is used along with a proper diet, exercises, and some modifications in the regular habits for treating obesity.
Phentermine is also used as solution to many other health related problems, but it is most effective and better known for curing obesity. Phentermine comes with many adverse side effects like, higher blood pressure level, increased body temperature, cardiac arrhythmia, psychotic disorders including severe paranoia and problems like auditory and visual difficulties.
When Should People Avoid Taking Phentermine
Before taking phentermine some particular things must always be looked into. A person who has used any MAO inhibitor, for instance, rasagiline (Azilect), phenelzine (Nardil), isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate) within the previous two weeks should not take phentermine. Taking phentermine before the clearing up of the MAO inhibitor from human body can cause fatal side effects.
People should also avoid taking this medicine with any other medications. Phentermine is also not recommended for pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers. In both these cases the concerned person should consult her doctor before practicing the intake of phentermine.
